Family – Poems and Haiku

Green leaves, lime flavored

With a bark of candy cane

and roots of sugar

My latest crazy idea – Haiku for kids.

The question is, does it work?  Interested in hearing your thoughts on it.  Of course if it was in a book it would have an illustration to go along with it – so you have to kind of imagine it like that.
