Christmas Eve – first snow

Detective picks up the trail

Killer has no clue

Eyes for just the prize

Dressed out in a Santa suit

The detective waits

Hidden by shadow

Watching the seasonal beat

of twinkling white lights

Killer makes his move

Detective saves this Christmas for

one lucky victim

The white lights sparkle

Detective arrives at home

Christmastime is safe

Merry Christmas everyone!

I hope you guys have a great holiday.

Lovely Haiku! Quite a different approach; nice interweave of suspense. Merry Christmas 🙂

Thank you. Just trying something a little bit different since there were already so many great Haiku out there.
