Haiku – Hella Good Storm

Dish rattling thunder

Lots of loud bomb-sounding bursts

Quick lightning flashes

+

I can say that in all my years of being a part of storms, the one we are in right now has to be one of the loudest I have ever heard. The thunder is so loud at times it sounds like a cannon is going off next door. The lightning flashes are also so bright that even in a lighted house they still make me squint. Crazy spring storm. How about you? What is the loudest storm you’ve ever been in?

The largest storm I was ever in was in 2004 and that was Hurricane Ivan! I have never been so scared in my life! Funny how the worst side of the storm always passes during the night when you can’t see what’s falling or crashing into your house.

That always seems to be the way. Makes it so much scarier.

I don’t think I’ve actually experienced a storm before, but did endured New York’s harsh winters… does that count?

That does. Those harsh winters have to be brutal with all that cold and snow.

They are brutal. I’m used to a more tropical weather… #nomorestorms
