Anybody taking advantage of Mulching season – that’s what it really is right now. I think I have put down about twenty or so bags so far, planted a few new things, and still have loads more to do. I am not an outdoor guy though. Not a big fan of yard work, but if it looks nice, kind of have to do it.
So, do you like or hate yard work?

As a sidebar: I’ve kind of had this song in my head for two days. Maybe you will as well.

I hate yard work! I don’t know why, my parents are both avid gardners. My mom sits out in her flower beds and lovingly pulls weeds, waters and fertilizes all of her beautiful plants. My father cuts the lawn in different directions every time he mows the lawn (diagonal, vertical and horizontal). He plants a gorgeous garden with radishes, lettuce, zucchini and tomatoes. I, on the otherhand, hate to work in the yard and kill just about everything!
I always say that I have a “dead thumb” and not a “green thumb.” Just can’t seem to get it right, but I am getting better.
great haiku, by the way!
Thank you – inspiration just outside my window.
I love working in the yard. It beats the hell out of dusting. LOL
I honestly can agree to that. Being outside is much better than being in with the dust.
