Rain still falling hard

Like a sponge filled with water

Soggy squishy ground

    I’ve been watching the news. So much rain! I was watering my palm tree on my front porch and noticed something bright yellow through the leaves. I reached to grab whatever it was and it disintegrated in my hand. There are several bright yellow mushrooms growing in the soil. Never seen anything like them before.

      If we get just a sprinkle tomorrow – monday – we will break a record of twelve consecutive days with rain. All summer it was dry and hot then the flood gates opened. I’m not even sure when I saw the sun last. Crazy stuff.
