Nice to get out this evening and clear the head. Something about good tunes, comfortable shoes, sunset, exercise, and warm weather that really just makes it all better.
How about you? What do you do to let off some steam?
Sneaky chilly breeze
An unexpected cool day
Springtime so fickle

Nice to go run in a new location today, down where my parents live. They were on grandparent duty, so I had the time to get out on my own for a bit. A great day to be outside even with the coolness in the air. Beautiful sunshine, cloudless sky, just a wonderful late April day.
The stone rolled away
Tomb now open and empty

Luke 24:6-7
He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ “
A cool rainy day
Feet splish-splashing on the ground
Getting in some miles

Yeah, it was cold, wet, and nasty out there today, but I had to go. I just had to get the legs moving no matter what the weather was like. It felt good just to get out. Nice way to clear the head. Also, the hot shower afterwards helped a lot. So, what is the worst weather you have run in? Just curious.
Hot light in the clouds

Good day out there on the old running shoes. I had one of my better timed runs. For the 4 mile walk/run that I usually do, I don’t think, of course, don’t quote me on this, but I don’t think I have been under 50 minutes since I started doing it. I was just over 48 minutes earlier today, which may not seem like much to most folks, but for me that is a turning point. I’ve always been a slow runner. Nice to see the legs maybe churning in my favor. How about you, fellow runners, what kind of times do you shoot for? Do you have a best time, one you are proud of? Just shout it out to me if you do.
By the way, there’s a reason I love Jimmy Buffett’s music so much. I wasn’t sure I was in the mood for it when I started running today, but after a couple of songs I was feeling those mellow vibes all over again. Just something about his tunes that takes me away, and hooks me every time. I have always loved this song below, and I never tire of it. Classic.
Fat rain heavy clouds
Thick with spring’s warm liquid drops
Ready to descend

Not a bad walk/run today. Just did a timed run, didn’t count the miles, 30 minutes up and back. Nice to get out in the fresh air. Love this time of year.
By the way, Jason Aldean is another good artist to run along with:
Heaven’s empty cup
Poured out the warm blue filled skies
Easy gentle day

Great run today! Just love, love, love, love, love, love, etc. days like this. Nice and warm not too hot not too cold. My body just seems to respond so much better to it. By the way, Eric Church’s “Chief” album is a great one to run along with. Always have good runs when I listen to it.
