A Poetry Journey
A soft light blue sky
Thin whispers of bright white clouds
Can’t hide your beauty
Soft white-grey snow skies
Covers up the sun today
Kids high hopes abound
A hint of blue sky
Beneath the blanket of grey
Clouds starting to part
Bright and crisp sunshine
Cascading across the sky
Warming the morning
Another friday
A long week comes to an end
Time to rest a bit
Rain on the window
Cold clear rivers of moisture
Streaming down the glass
Shafts of bright sunlight
Falling through the clear window
Warming up the room
Dark grayish-blue clouds
Heavy and thick with moisture
Rain about to drop
Another grey morning
Winter’s cold darkness lingers
Burying the sun
Head covered in fog
A cold has me under siege
Hard to think today
Cold ashy grey day
Sun hidden behind the clouds
No chance for warm rays
Coffee in the pot
Waiting to caffeinate me
This cold grey morning
A cold wet morning
Kids hopes of a big snowfall
Dashed with each rain drop
Cold cloudy morning
My favorite coffee mug
Helps to warm me up
Shocking cold morning
Winter returns with a blast
Sudden arctic chill
Kids are bickering
Back and forth they go like jays
Coffee always helps
Thick grey morning clouds
Sky gloomy, dark, and dreary
Rain about to fall
A busy morning
Racing my son off to school
Typical Monday
Rich, smooth, and soothing
Steaming cup of hot coffee
Helps to start the day
The window prism
Shining colorful rainbows
Upon the green wall
