Rain soaked mountain day
Like Mother Nature crying
Tears of sweet relief
The key to His world
Lies in just simple belief
That’s all He asks for

Bald trees on the hills
White bark dots the green landscape
Mother Nature sighs
Hot blistering sun
No clouds to hold back the heat
Mother Nature burns
Blue vein like lighting
Streaking across the dark clouds
Thunder erupting
Unlock the kingdom
Open up your heart to love
Fill your life with peace

I also had two other closing lines for this one. Curious what you guys thought of them. Do you think either one of these would have been a better way to close this Haiku?
Waiting on her prince
Captive of abuse
Dark has settled in
Cold beer, music, and football
It’s time to relax

I’ve gotten hooked on Canadian Football – keeps me pre-occupied until the NFL and College Football starts back in the fall. This year though I might have to try and squeeze in some Canadian Football as well. If you need a football fix then this is your way to go until the fall. This is real football with real stakes right in the middle of summer. Sounds good to me. Find more on the CFL here: www.cfl.ca

Another one of those word grab Haiku for me. For some reason the word CLOUDS kept coming to mind this morning. I decided to write a Haiku based off of that word. Again, you can join in by writing something based off of the word CLOUDS. Post it in the comments or your own blog and then let me know about it. Thanks for reading.

I think on certain days of the week when I have no Haiku in the tank I am going to do what I did this morning. I thought of the first word that came to mind. I then sat down and wrote a Haiku based off that word. SIMPLE was the word that came to mind. If you want to you can join in. Right a Haiku or Poem or even small story based off the word SIMPLE. Post it to your blog and leave me a link below. Might be something fun to get us all motivated to write.
