Christ has died, risen
Walked out of his Earth bound tomb

Above, Heaven calls
Singing God’s praises on high
The angels, the saved

Hell screams from below
A cacophony of sounds
The tortured and damned

Sing me a song, you’re a singer
Do me a wrong, you’re a bringer of evil
The Devil is never a maker
The less that you give, you’re a taker
So it’s on and on and on
…it’s Heaven and Hell, oh well
The lover of life’s not a sinner
The ending is just a beginner
The closer you get to the meaning
The sooner you’ll know that you’re dreaming

Haiku – Glory
I find grace with you
Peace, love, happiness, joy
Daily abundance
This has long be a favorite quote of mine. It gives me motivation when my runs get tough.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
Last week I had some good responses doing this, so I thought I would try it again. Share, if you will, a poem or haiku based off of the word glory. It doesn’t have to be religious based. Whatever represents glory in your mind is all I am looking for. You can post it to your blog and include the link in the comments section or you can write it and leave it in the comments section. Haiku – Stryper
God’s word through music
The yellow and black attack
Christian metal band
Without a doubt, Stryper is one of the top Christian rock bands of all-time, and certainly the most celebrated Christian metal band of all time. Comprised of Michael Sweet (vocals/guitar), Oz Fox (guitar), Tim Gaines (bass), and Robert Sweet (drums), Stryper has been rocking since 1983, and is responsible for such ’80s metal classic albums as ‘Soldiers Under Command,’ ‘To Hell with the Devil,’ In God We Trust,’ and such MTV hit singles/videos as “Calling on You,” “Free,” and “Honestly.” After a sabbatical for much of the 1990’s, Stryper returned strong in the early 21st century. But it was not until their 2011 covers set, ‘The Covering,’ that the aforementioned definitive Stryper was reinstated, as the band welcomed Gaines back into the fold.
