I always thought this would be a great song for a chase scene in a movie where the monster of that story is after someone. I can see the chase starting as the music begins and then as the music builds the chase intensifies.
Watched the original “Halloween” last night and this morning I am watching “Friday the 13th: Part VI: Jason Lives” in order to get psyched up for Halloween. So, I thought I would write a Haiku to go along with the movies and the holiday (my favorite one). Always loved this Alice Cooper song that is in Jason Lives. Thought it might get you in the Halloween mood.
As a total out of the blue side bar, I have to share this one today. My 3-year-old son said he liked the song “Margaritaville” today without me prompting him first. A lot of times if he acts like he likes a song or hums to it or something like that (mostly kid’s songs), I will ask if he likes it. He will say something about it, but today out of the blue he just said he liked “Margaritaville” with no prompting first. He’s been listening to Buffett and “Margaritaville” since he was at least 3 months old, maybe earlier than that. Kind of nice to know that I might just be raising another Parrothead. He loves the salt, salt, salt part of this song. Enjoy.
Do you reading this watch any of the ghost hunting shows? Ghost Adventures is my go to show when I want to see something dealing with the supernatural. I do watch it in limit doses, but there was a time where I would watch it all the time. Hard to sleep at night when you put this much stuff into your head. Now, I just catch it on the weekends usually during the day. I don’t know how real or fake this show is, but there are some things they catch that just can’t be explained.
So, do you believe in ghosts? I’ve had a few unexplained moments in my life. I had a cold blast of air settle down on top of me when I was sitting in a warm room watching TV. In this same house where I felt the cold spot I heard footsteps walking across the hall when I was the only one home. My brother, dad, and mom all had some kind of experience in this house. It was just one of those places that feels kind of odd when you walk in to it.
I’ve been working on a collection of short stories that I hope to release before Halloween. I do have a pretty cool cover for it already that you may or may not have seen already.
