Day-light choking,
strangled out by darkening clouds.
Severe storm warning,
thunder sounds.
Day-light choking,
strangled out by darkening clouds.
Severe storm warning,
thunder sounds.
A barren land,
left in your wake.
Lives and homes destroyed,
by the path that you take.
I thought I was taking a small break, but this tornado today has really bothered me so I had to write something about it. Just seeing all the damage and destruction and hearing about all the lives lost has really put me at a loss. My heart and my prayers go out to them and not only them, but all of those who have faced something like this.
What’s this, cool again?
Summer is ever so close
Winter’s grasp lingers
Cold morning again and a cool day as well. I really can’t believe this is May already. Where is the Spring? Summer is getting close and we still really haven’t had a solid Spring. Winter really is tough to kick this year.
Red skies start the day
Somewhere a sailor worries,
as the sails billow

A couple of my favorite songs involving the water and the world around it. Yes, I’m a metal head, but I do enjoy mellow music as well. John Denver goes all the way back to my childhood – listening to it with my dad. R.I.P. John Denver, gone, but not forgotten.

Gentle breeze blowing
Cherry tree in full blossom
Snowing pink snow flakes

I hear you hooting
Hoot, hoot, hooting all night long
Perched on your tree branch
§
Pink blossom filled trees
The view outside my window
This cool Spring morning

Bouncy, bounce, bounce, bounce
Jumpy, jumpy, jump, jump, jump
Living green and free

Empty and barren
Alone on a rocky cliff
Ghosts maintain the light

Simple – Powerful
Guardians of the shoreline
Ship’s eyes in the night

A warm April sun
Greets my eyes today
As the cold of night lingers
The rays push it away
2
I turn my face towards the sun
As it rises in the sky, bright blue
The sun casts its loving glow
Wipes away the dew

Fragrances fill my nose
In the living smell of Spring
The world is alive
As the birds return and sing

Spring Rising 1
The first day of March
Spring’s growth starting to blossom
Life wakes from slumber
Spring Rising 2
I hear birds chirping
Spring sounds push through the night’s dark
Warm days on the way
Spring Rising 3
Daylight Savings Time
Yes, Spring has sprung all over
Longer nights ahead
