If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?

Hawaiian Shirts and mixed drinks and play beach music or classic rock all day. Maybe some hair metal too.

If you won two free plane tickets, where would you go?

I would take my wife somewhere – maybe Europe or New York or Southeast Asia or Iceland or any of the Nordic Countries.

If I could use one ticket for myself I would go to Australia and use the other one to fly to somewhere isolated and tropical. Just me and a beach.

What’s your go-to comfort food?

Pizza. Even though I am now Gluten Free I still love it.

Anything sweet. Ice cream. Cookies. Pastries. Candy. If I need some comfort I turn to sugar most of the time.

What’s your favorite game (card, board, video, etc.)? Why?

The card game Skip-Bo is one of my favorites.

Love playing Clue and Sorry with my family.

Dogs or cats?

Cats.

They suit my personality better. Mostly an introvert.

If you could host a dinner and anyone you invite was sure to come, who would you invite?

Stephen King. Would love to talk to him.

Jimmy Buffett. I hate he passed away.

Both are huge inspirations in my life.

Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden. Bet he’s fun to talk to. I probably couldn’t keep up in a verbal one to one.

Anne Rice for some good talk about New Orleans and Vampires.

What time do you go to bed and wake up currently?

Bed no later than 23:30/11:30 PM, earlier if I can, but that’s my cutoff.

Mornings, 5 – 7 AM. I wake up when I wake up and usually after 5 to 6 hours of sleep I am ready to go.

Describe your most memorable vacation.

Turning 50 in Key West was memorable but also a road trip from the Czech Republic to Italy was also memorable. Being in New Orleans when 1999 turned to 2000 was also memorable. Hard to narrow it down.

What’s the most delicious thing you’ve ever eaten?

Key Lime Pie from Blue Heaven in Key West. That instantly came to mind.

If you were forced to wear one outfit over and over again, what would it be?

Gym shorts and a Jimmy Buffett tee shirt or any tee shirt for that matter.

What countries do you want to visit?

Australia is high on my bucket list. Antarctica would be great and Iceland too. Somewhere warm like French Polynesia. A few I would love to see. There are certainly many more.

How do you want to retire?

Enough money to travel and plenty of days spent by the beach. Perfect retirement.

What is your favorite season of year? Why?

Love the warm days of spring and the changing of the leaves in fall. Plus in N.C. the fall is still warm but not so hot you can’t enjoy being outside. Summer is third but by August I am ready for the heat to subside. And Winter is a distant fourth. Just don’t like cold weather.

Describe your dream chocolate bar.

White or Milk Chocolate and preferably not mixed with anything.

Describe one simple thing you do that brings joy to your life.

I write and create content for YouTube and my Podcast. That helps to give me not only joy but an outlet that keeps me focused on a goal. Nice to have when the days are tough.

Have you ever broken a bone?

Yep.

Twice.

Broke a finger and my left wrist back when I was a kid. Had a cast on my arm each time.

Are you a leader or a follower?

Kind of both but most days I have to be a leader because I am a stay-at-home dad and I run the day to day routine.

Kiwi, Cherries, Bananas, Strawberries, Pineapples.

What’s a job you would like to do for just one day?

A fisherman on that Deadliest Catch show because that’s about how long I would last – a day. But I would love to try it.
