Cup of coffee to relax
Sunlight on my face

Carolina Day 1
Blue skies and no clouds
A warm, bright, and beautiful
Carolina day
Carolina Day 2
Sun filled, light blue sky
Casual white clouds drifting
Lazy hammock day
Carolina Day 3
My shoulder, nap time
Sonβs gentle breath in my ear
Secure, safe, and warm
Motley colored fool
Running until my guts hurt
3 very tough miles

Running mojo for the day:
Your body will argue that there is no justifiable reason to continue. Your only recourse is to call on your spirit, which fortunately functions independently of logic.

I find grace with you
Peace, love, happiness, joy
Daily abundance
This has long be a favorite quote of mine. Β It gives me motivation when my runs get tough.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
viaΒ 2 Corinthians 12:9
Last week I had some good responses doing this, so I thought I would try it again. Β Share, if you will, a poem or haiku based off of the word glory. Β It doesn’t have to be religious based. Β Whatever represents glory in your mind is all I am looking for. Β You can post it to your blog and include the link in the comments section or you can write it and leave it in the comments section. Β Your choice. Β Thanks again for reading, following, and participating.
Snow capped news this morning
Lives slowed to a crawl
Blizzard warnings, heavy white
Brutal winter snow fall
The distance, easy
5 miles without stopping once,
on a cool grey day
Inspirational quote from Kara Goucher:
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.Β

Our little one is between 4 and 5 months of age. Β He is now moving up to solids with squash, carrots, and green beans already being a hit. Β We do give him some oatmeal and rice cereal, which is also pretty popular, but he does love his vegetables. Β We plan to introduce fruit a little later on, once he gets a little more used to his vegetables and fortified cereals. I know sweet potatoes are like candy to babies so we plan to introduce it really late.
This is where I am having a problem. Β How do you introduce solids so he can still get his normal amount of formula? Β Do you feed him his formula first and then wait an hour to do solids? Β Do you do a little less formula and then try to add more solids? Β I know formula is still his man staple of food and that solids are more of an introduction right now, but how do you get him to eat his solids. Β My son seems to do better later on in the day, but he should be able to do some Oatmeal in the morning.
Anyone out there have any advice? Β How did you handle this situation? Β What are your current schedules if you have a child this age? Β First time parent just needing some help.
We should praise this day
Let the sun shine down on us
The cold has no hold
Okay, so I did this last week and I thought I would try it again, but this time a little different.
If you so desire you can write a Haiku or Poem based off the word Praise and what it means to you.
You can leave it in the comment section below or post it in your blog and then provide the link in the comment section below. Β It is clearly your choice or you can just hit the like button. Β Whatever works for you.
Thanks again for participating.
You prowl the grassland
Standing strong inside your pride,
with your lion mane
Gusts of wind blowing
Big storm on the horizon
Child’s eyes wide open

I like the sound of this one, but I’m not sure it works. Β I would love to hear what you think about it. Β What kind of feelings do you get when you read it?
Here’s some music to listen to while you think it over.
