Can we hold our tongue,
and let the silent voice scream?
With the Earth dying

A new journey has begun in my poetry writing. I plan to start writing poems for kids and poems that parents can read to their kids. I hope to maybe get enough of them together to make a book someday with plenty of picture drawings to go along with them.
Let me know what you think.
Come and take a walk,
take a walk with me,
and we will go to find,
the Bubble Gum Tree.
🙂
There we will sit,
hours on end.
Just you and me,
my little friend.
🙂
We will look at the colors,
all around,
and munch on the pieces,
that have fallen on the ground.
🙂
We will,
laugh and play,
blowing bubbles,
all the day.
🙂
Then when the evening sets,
and the day is done.
Home we will go,
with the setting sun.
🙂
But do not fret,
another day we’ll see,
when you and I will sit,
under the Bubble Gum Tree.
Sunlight fading fast
Daylight reaches towards sunset
3 miles – kind of tough
A flame colored light
Races across the white clouds
Turning them blood red
Sky Fire 1
Grey storm clouds parting
Turning the sky into fire
Day ends in a blaze
Sky Fire 2
Sunlight fading fast
Leaving embers in the sky
Day takes one last breath
Sky Fire 3
Rays of sun explode
As the day is closing down
The sky above burns
Sky Fire 4
White cotton ball clouds
Burning on a light blue sky
The world turns crimson
Sun filled, light blue sky
Casual white clouds drifting
Lazy hammock day
Carolina Day 1
Blue skies and no clouds
A warm, bright, and beautiful
Carolina day
Cold November day
Two and a half miles with ease
Fall leaves underfoot
🙂
Leaves crackle and pop
Fighting off a strong stiff breeze
Dressed in winter clothes
It just feels good to get back out there.
I had to write something about it.
Cool fall afternoon
2 miles, dusting off the rust
My legs need some work
I managed to lace up the shoes today and get out the door for some fresh air and a solid run. It wasn’t very long, but my legs really aren’t in the shape I need them to be in right now.
Anybody running and enjoying this cool weather? Anybody walking and enjoying this cool weather? Anybody just enjoying this cool weather? Leave me your answer in the comment section below.
Take a walk in me
Outside in my fresh cool air
as the seasons change
♣
Feel the crunch of my
leaves under your walking foot
as you explore me
♣
My Fall time of year
will soon fade into winter
I’m not as nice then
♣
Spring though, will arrive
and then once again you can
take a walk in me
Tomorrow is on its way,
that special time of year.
I can’t believe,
it’s almost here.
Time for:
Ghosts,
Zombies,
Vampires,
Werewolves,
and other things,
that go bump in the night.
But never fear,
Halloween will come,
Halloween will pass,
just try not to have,
a fright attack.
Time for trick or treats
With kids ringing loud door bells
For candy and sweets
Part 1
Pumpkins, ghosts, and scares
Halloween crawling closer
The best time of year
Part 2
Almost Halloween
The days are growing closer
Beware the graveyards
Lacing up the shoes
This crisp and cool fall morning
For a run today
It felt good to get in some miles this morning – love running this time of year.
Anybody else love to run in the fall with the leaves crunching under your feet? If not running, do you just love being outside in the nice weather?
Spring’s green – Summer’s warmth
Turns to multicolored leaves
In Fall’s fading light
Fall 1
The air of Autumn
Colors leaves of dying green
Gold, orange, and red
Fall 2
Crisp, cool morning air
Nipping at your finger tips
Frost will be here soon

He was conscious of –
what his actions meant, but he –
had to let one rip
🙂
Dark clouds hovering
Tossing rain drops on the ground
Splashing through puddles
¤
A dark cloud filled sky
Sitting at home all alone
Waiting on the sun
My son’s endless cries
Hard tears on a father’s soul
Purest pain on Earth
I had debated about posting this one after I wrote it a few days ago, but it seems to fit the moment my wife and I are in right now. We are trying to let our son sleep until he falls asleep so we can get him on a better schedule. He seems to be getting better, but this is one of those tough times in his life and mine.
