Golfer takes her stance
Swings with grace and gentle ease
Aiming for the green
Hate now in power
Guilty before innocent
Freedom sacrificed

I heard this great song yesterday and it made me think about the way America is currently doing business at home and abroad. I thought I might write a Haiku based off of it. I think, no matter how you voted, it is time to stop the hate and learn to find a great middle ground. We can’t make “America Great Again” if we don’t work together to do it. I am a Democrat, and I will admit that. But they need to shut up and work with Trump. Trump also needs to put on his big boy pants and start learning to compromise. We can’t put in bans like we currently have without stirring up a whole lot of trouble. I agree we have been lax in some areas of this country throughout the years, but bans don’t work. They don’t keep out the bad they just incite more anger, and those we are trying to stop just add fuel to their fire. There has to be a better way to handle our politics than what we have now.
If you decide to leave a comment. Make it productive. I don’t mind a solid discussion, but let’s not get down to childish name calling.
Okay, have a great weekend. Here’s the song.

Two birds on a limb
Huddled together for warmth
Hoping for the Spring
First sip of coffee
Finally able to look
Upon the morning

She looked in the room
Thick dark black shadows looming
Hiding the monster

Look at the old house
Ghosts linger and walk its halls
Waiting for victims
