I have become obsessed with this new Iron Maiden song. 18 minutes long, but it doesn’t drag one bit. A beautiful intro builds to this blinding fast speed, and then settles back down to a quiet finish. Just an amazing song that you should take the time to listen to, metal fan or not. I can’t believe Bruce was battling cancer while recording this CD.
As a total out of the blue side bar, I have to share this one today. My 3-year-old son said he liked the song “Margaritaville” today without me prompting him first. A lot of times if he acts like he likes a song or hums to it or something like that (mostly kid’s songs), I will ask if he likes it. He will say something about it, but today out of the blue he just said he liked “Margaritaville” with no prompting first. He’s been listening to Buffett and “Margaritaville” since he was at least 3 months old, maybe earlier than that. Kind of nice to know that I might just be raising another Parrothead. He loves the salt, salt, salt part of this song. Enjoy.
Funny thing, the church sermon on Sunday was all about hope. I came home and saw the word prompt on Prompt Each Day was the same word. Strange how that works out sometimes.
I was watching an Island Hunter’s show on HGTV and they went to Fiji. Such a beautiful place that it inspired this Haiku. I’ve never been, but if you have I would love to hear your thoughts on what it was like to visit there.
