Flip Flops in the rain
Feeling so much pain
The warm sandy beach
So far from their reach
On this long gloomy day
So full of dark and grey
Flip Flops in the rain
Feeling so much pain
The warm sandy beach
So far from their reach
On this long gloomy day
So full of dark and grey
Part 1
Cigar smoke twirls,
spins, whirls
snares the fan above
Part 2
Humid air
cut it like a knife
Man sits alone
drink in hand
coke and rum
Part 3
A spy perhaps
Maybe just a sailor
Tropical tourist
or world traveler
Part 4
The bar rings
sings
with music
and people
Man watches
He’s home
at peace
by the ocean
Loosely inspired by this song:
Bright eye on the shore
Spinning, turning, circular
Night drifts in slowly

Pockets of relief
Cover from the hot sun rays
Small islands of shade
Precious toes and feet
Touch the sand and the water
First steps on new ground
🙂
A happy father
Watching this beach scene unfold
Tears form in his eyes
Time to get away
A week of ocean relief
Soul healing water
Getting away for a bit so the blogging will be limited for a while. I will still have access, but not as much time to post. Will be back in a week or so.
Need some time to waste
Get lost for a day or three
With my wife and son
Been stuck in a medication fog for the last 5 days and I have about 5 more to go. Just need to get away from all of this stuff with my family. Our June vacation can’t come soon enough. Crawling through the days just waiting to see the beach again.
Waves kiss the shoreline
Back and forth with their motion
Daily ocean dance
A brisk cold morning
My aching bones snap and pop
Sounds like bubble wrap
It’s cold out there y’all. So please take a moment and warm your bones by the video below. Stay warm.
White sandy shoreline
Castaway from the mainland
Palm trees, island sounds

Gentle sea breezes
Warmth to each and every cell
Salt air on my skin
Crack open your beer,
decorate it with lime.
Let the laid back mood take over,
for this is perfect time.
Cold and refreshing,
this beer in your hand.
Kicked back in the shade of a palm,
enjoying a Calypso Band.
The steel drums they echo,
they ring and they sing.
Losing just that little bit of edge,
life’s little sting.
