Christopher Nolan did a phenomenal job directing this movie, as he does with all of his movies. He’s just a very talented filmmaker. An auteur in a system that doesn’t produce as many of them as it used to.
Cinematographer, Wally Pfister, who worked on all three of the movies in the trilogy, and Editor Lee Smith, who also worked on all three movies in the trilogy – deserve credit too for helping bring Nolan’s Batman vision to life.
Score, takes your breath away, fits each scene and moment with absolute perfection. Action and Fight and Chase Scenes are smooth and easy to watch and you can see what is going on at all times.
Acting is top notch from Bale who embodies Bruce and Batman perfectly. Great casting. Bale, as he always does, disappeared into the role.
Morgan and Micheal, and Cillian, and Liam – amazing casting too, they capture their characters perfectly like Bale. Katie was a bit of a miss but she did enough to make the character work and she held her own in each scene.
Effects, amazing, Batman’s suit looks awesome. Love seeing the suit being built and how it progressed from a simple disguise to something much more elaborate. Like the look of the Scarecrow too – creepy stuff.
Tumbler – amazing vehicle for Batman. Perfectly fit this movie in tone and style. Sounds incredible in the theater or with really good headphones.
Might be my favorite version of Gotham City. Close second – Gotham in Batman 89.
And this movie also has major horror vibes all over it – glowing eyes, oozing faces, scarecrows transformation, and on and on it goes – Probably the most horrific of the entire trilogy. And it’s another reason, along with the origin story, why it’s my favorite Batman movie.
Now, the haiku
A hero rises
Born from tragedies ashes
Conquering his fear
That’s it. Thoughts about Batman Begins. Love it. Hate it. Best or worst in the trilogy. Take care and have a good one.

I’ve been given it some thought, and I think I’ve come up with my three favorite Superheroes.
Number 1: Batman
I guard the darkness
While the city sleeps below
Safely in slumber

Number 2: Spiderman
Up the wall he crawls
Moving with a spider’s ease
Slinging sticky webs

Number 3: The Flash
The CW has gotten me hooked on this character. I started Binge-Watching it this week, and I’m almost done with Season 1. To put that in perspective. I stay home with my two kids. I have about an hour each day and a few hours at night to watch this show. I managed to squeeze in 5 episodes yesterday. I couldn’t stop watching it and the only reason why I’m not watching it now is because my kids are about to get up. I honestly haven’t been hooked on a Superhero this fast or this quick since Batman. Amazing show. Don’t spoil it for me if you’ve seen it. I’m barely through Season 1, about at Episode 17. So, do you have a top three, five, eight, ten, etc. or do you have just one Superhero you champion?

He hides in shadows
Roaming the nighttime darkness
Savior in the black

A mighty hero
Sunlight gives him the power
Alien life form
The Batsignal (or Bat-Signal) is a distress signal device appearing in the various interpretations of the Batman mythos. It is a specially modified Klieg searchlight with a stylized symbol of a bat attached to the light so that it projects a large Bat emblem on the sky or buildings of Gotham City.
