Perched on the mailbox
Bird watching the morning start
Enjoying the rain

Blooming white flowers
Decorating the bushes
Beautiful springtime
🏝
I wrote this one a few days ago and forgot about it. Thought I would post it.
Family of geese
Walking slowly together
Hunting for a meal
Explosion of pink
A raging fire of color
Spreading on the tree
+++
I love watching the cherry blossoms come alive during this time of year – so beautiful.
Quick question: Does fire have one or two syllables? I saw multiple post about how it could go either way.
Pink and white flowers
Bursting with springtime colors
Covering the ground

Can you make out the pink and white flowers, as well as the new buds on the tree limbs, from this picture? It was taken from my window and my phone was zoomed into it. Not the best of pictures but it shows you what I am seeing outside my window as I write this Haiku.
Bird song in the night
Strange to hear happy music
Cut through the darkness

Apparently there are birds, not just owls, but actually songbirds who do sing at night for various reasons. I honestly didn’t know that. It really surprised me.
Nighttime shadow moves
Coolness chilling the warm room
Vampire takes his drink
+++
And if you need a solid Vampire movie to watch – check out this movie you can watch right now on Shudder. If you love horror Shudder is a great service to sign up for.
Sky a hue of blue
Dawn replacing the nighttime
Brand new day is born

I opened my curtains after getting out of bed this morning and was hit immediately with a view of a gorgeous clear sky. It helped to inspire this Haiku and seeing the world start is another reason why I am glad I am a morning person. How about you? Are you a morning person or a night owl?
