Opening his eyes
Something in the dark staring
While he is sleeping

Man screams in terror
The shape slowly dissipates
Red eyes lingering

Walking on a path
Forest pressing in tightly
Sound of leaves crunching

Stop, turn, look, and stare
Something moving soft and slow
Growling with hunger

Feet starting to run
Multiple sounds erupting
Forest comes alive

Creatures on the hunt
Surrounded, no where to go
He stops, starts to plan
+
A shot rings loudly
Something screams in the distance
Voices shouting out

Man takes off running
He thinks of safety and hope
Feet are light and quick

Sunlight fading into dusk
Another day complete
