Tiny crescent moon
Cutting a small ray of light
Into the thick fog
Tiny crescent moon
Cutting a small ray of light
Into the thick fog
Sipping on coffee
Listening to the birds sing
Relaxing my fears

This has to be one of the strangest times in my life (currently sitting at 47 years of age). This virus infecting the world is unlike anything I have ever seen or thought I would ever see. Hope everyone reading this is safe and healthy. Stay strong and stay vigilant.
This is my go to song in tough times or times I feel a bit overwhelmed. Its core meaning is just to chill out, relax, and make the best of a bad situation.
Soft sunlight spilling
Across a cold spring morning
Nature rejoices
Sunrise approaching
Birds singing in the darkness
Welcome a new day
Fog grips the morning
Covering the bright sunshine
Burying its warmth
Brightly chirping birds
Ushering in a warm day
Singing happily
Coastal day dreaming
Thinking of a sandy shore
Warmth and bright sunshine
Birds playfully romp
Under a cloudy grey sky
Happy and carefree
Standing on the bridge
A man in old ancient clothes
Hauntingly he waits
Buffett kind of mood
Soft laid back musical vibes
Helps to start the day
The first day of March
Sunshine and cloudless blue skies
Welcomes the new month
Fog, like a serpent
Crawling across the morning
Obscuring the view
A morning songbird
Singing outside my window
Waiting on sunshine
Through the clear window
Gloom hanging like a curtain
Covering the day
Winter wonderland
Snow covers the trees and grass
Outside my window
White snowflakes dropping
Tumbling out of dark grey clouds
Falling to the Earth
A light rain shower
Dropping slow from thick dark clouds
Day covered in gloom
Waking up today
Sunlight crests the horizon
Bringing warmth and light
A light brown squirrel
Bushy brown tail swishing fast
Running up the tree
+
Sitting in the tree
An orange breasted robin
Waiting on a worm
Bodies softly sway
Moving with Calypso beat
Nuclear bombs drop

The song Apocalypso by Jimmy Buffett inspired this Haiku. I heard it on my walk this morning and immediately a Haiku sprang to mind. Inspiration is found in the strangest places. Have a great weekend.
