Robins take shelter
Waiting on light snow showers
Winter’s harsh return
+
Greyish cloudy skies
Cold air, a quick arctic blast
Snow fall imminent
+
Springtime’s fresh flowers
Under the cold frozen ground
Hoping to rise soon

Haiku – 2/11/2016
Almost black coffee
Hint of milk cuts out the bite
Smooth and sharp today
+
How do you take your coffee? I’ve cut out the sugar and now the creamer (heard a lot of horror stories about what goes into making it creamer). I am now trying just a bit of milk. Tough to get used to, but it gets easier each morning. Sleep deprivation helps.

Across the blue sky
Soaring through the clouds above
Like a giant bird

Haiku – Above
Night sky full of stars
Billions of tiny white lights
Twinkle far away

Astronomers estimate that the observable universe has more than 100 billion galaxies. Our own Milky Way is home to around 300 billion stars, but it’s not representative of galaxies in general. Source: How many stars are there in the universe? – Sky & Telescope

Stripped bare by winter’s harsh grasp
Waiting on the spring
