I’ve been working on a collection of short stories that I hope to release before Halloween. I do have a pretty cool cover for it already that you may or may not have seen already.

Before I leave you, here are a couple of things related to the title of this Haiku.
This is a solid slasher movie from the Eighties – one I still own on DVD. Cheap, creepy, and a great score.
A great song from the mighty Judas Priest – this is a ballad by them.

Haiku – The “Painted Sky” Run
Pink sky, blueish clouds
Daylight fades into the night
Picturesque sunset

It was hard to get out the door tonight. I almost didn’t run, but I made myself get out and go. I am glad I did. I managed to get some good miles in.
This song came on my MP3 tonight and I thought it would be a good one to dedicate to all runners out there battling the summer heat.

BLACK:
Cold earthy darkness
Creature sleeps among the gloom
Time for it to wake
WHITE:
Silky angel wings
Gently they flutter and flap
Peacefully she glides
