A taste of key lime
Tropically delicious
Within each cool slice

Sipping on coffee
Listening to the birds sing
Relaxing my fears

This has to be one of the strangest times in my life (currently sitting at 47 years of age). This virus infecting the world is unlike anything I have ever seen or thought I would ever see. Hope everyone reading this is safe and healthy. Stay strong and stay vigilant.
This is my go to song in tough times or times I feel a bit overwhelmed. Its core meaning is just to chill out, relax, and make the best of a bad situation.
Bodies softly sway
Moving with Calypso beat
Nuclear bombs drop

The song Apocalypso by Jimmy Buffett inspired this Haiku. I heard it on my walk this morning and immediately a Haiku sprang to mind. Inspiration is found in the strangest places. Have a great weekend.
Dark storm clouds have cleared
Ushering in bright blue skies
Hot and sunny days

I made a vow to myself to try and post every single day until the end of the year once September started. Guess I am going to miss that goal. Oops. I didn’t see a cold hitting me hard or a hurricane knocking on the door. We are inland enough not to feel or see Dorian’s wrath, but we were close enough to have school closed for two days. That along with the cold caused me to stop posting. Hope I am going to get back to it today with this Haiku. Have a great weekend.
Thick glistening web
Filled with what was caught last night
Heavy load of bugs

This is another one of mine that kind of got lost in the shuffle earlier this month. I liked the sound of it so I thought I would give it another shot at stardom this Christmas season.

Boat on the ocean
Silver bells tied to the mast
Jingling with the waves

I wrote this Haiku earlier this month and for some reason it got lost in the shuffle of the day. I thought I would re-post it because I really liked this one. I wanted to give it a second chance this holiday season.

A warm silent night
Ocean breeze stirs the stockings
Hung with gentle care

Cool margaritas
Sipping them slow by the fire
Christmas lights flashing

Covered in white frost
The world twinkling like diamonds
In the bright warm sun

This song has nothing to do with this post.
It just popped into my mind while I was writing this Haiku.
A warm silent night
Ocean breeze stirs the stockings
Hung with gentle care
+
Boat on the ocean
Silver bells tied to the mast
Jingling with the waves
+
Salty ocean breeze
Santa sipping cold eggnog
Trying to relax
