Day at the train park
Celebrating a birthday
My son’s happy time
First tease of real fall
A taste of cool morning air
Pushes back the heat
+
Sun moves into fall
Different angles of light
Slanting through the trees
Coffee and caffeine
Fill me up before I start
My stay at home day

A red widow’s walk
Cross and photo in her hand
She waits for his ship

Adrift on the sea
Tide guiding the small brown boat

Eternal life waits
Just beyond our Earthly grasp

Funny thing, the church sermon on Sunday was all about hope. I came home and saw the word prompt on Prompt Each Day was the same word. Strange how that works out sometimes.
Sunshine and grey clouds
Battle upon the blue sky
Light, dark, light, dark, light . . .
Wind rattles the trees
Shakes the limbs and thick green leaves
Blowing strong today
A wet damp lingers
Day washed out in cold grey fog
London like morning
In a field you hang
Upon this wood post you wait
For the night’s darkness

Palm trees line the shore
Warm air and sand fill your soul
Positive beach vibes

I was watching an Island Hunter’s show on HGTV and they went to Fiji. Such a beautiful place that it inspired this Haiku. I’ve never been, but if you have I would love to hear your thoughts on what it was like to visit there.

Sunlight fills the sky
Floods the day in bright red rays
Night-time slinks away
