A blighted landscape
Progress erases nature
What is our future?

Warming up my frozen bones
Disguising the cold

Finally trying to get back to a little 30 minute run/walk. Feels good to get back out there again even though today it was chilly on my shorts wearing legs.
Flying ever strong
In the gentle breeze you wave
Constant reminder

Rushing through darkness
Frantic with each step you climb
Sliver of light – hope

One by one and two by two
Together they fly

Trees swaying – shaking
Branches blown by the stiff breeze
Racing through the limbs
Rosy morning light
Steamy coffee in the mug
I start to wake up

Always enjoyed this one. Good song to listen to as you drink a cup. So, sit back, sip from your favorite mug, and relax this Saturday morning.

Filled with warm salt air

The first use of the word “vampire” in English wasn’t until 1734, when it was mentioned in a book called Travels of Three English Gentlemen. Although the idea of the “undead” returning to attack the living is ancient and occurs in many cultures, the bloodsucking vampire we recognise today arose in south-eastern Europe in the 17th century. Versions of the word “vampire” exist in all the Slavic languages and some linguists have traced it back to ubyr, the Tatar word for “witch”. via QI: Quite interesting facts about vampires – Telegrap
So dark this morning
Storms crept slowly in last night
Bringing rain showers
Just enter my doors
Try to find the roaming ghosts
The ones who haunt me

This weeks word is “Try.”

God
My kingdom knows no boundaries
My gate forever wide
My soul is in the Earth
My soul is in the tide
I hold my arms open
I welcome you to my side
Devil
Cast out from heaven
Prided goeth before my fall
I live in hatred – lies
I’m a soul stealer
A wheeler dealer
I am evil – eternal
