A muggy morning

Harbinger of summertime

Sign of hotter days

A cold morning chill

The sound of songbirds singing

Warms up the spring day

Sweet honeysuckle

Permeates the new morning

Kissed by the cool dew

Month of May arrives

Summer memories stirring

Season starts to warm

Sunlight and shadows

Laying across the green lawn

A nap is calling

Clouds rolling softly

Pushing away the sunshine

Thunderstorms forming

From a dark bleak sky

Soft raindrops spinning lightly

Dancing as they fall

Strong violent wind

Whipping branches back and forth

Limbs stretched to limits

Grey clouds lingering

Dripping the day in dreary

Waiting on sunshine
