I don’t know about you, but when I write or re-write it just consumes me. I have woken up the last two days feeling like I’m coming out of a deep dormant sleep. Coincidentally, I put the finishing touches on my re-write yesterday morning. It’s like my body knows when to push me and when not to push me. That’s what inspired this Haiku.
Anybody else feel that way when they go on a creative binge?
After a few days of no humidity and cooler temperatures, well, old man summer decided to come roaring back. Luckily, I had the shade of clouds in my favor today, but it was still muggy and grueling to walk/run. I was listening to Tesla again. I know, who? That Eighties band. The same one – still digging on them to this day, anyway, the song below pushed me on when I needed it at the end. Going to dedicate this run to it. Hope everyone stays cool.
I can’t believe how nice it has been outside today. The weather is still warm, but the humidity has gone away. Couldn’t believe it when my son and I sat out on the deck this morning – he in his high chair, me just enjoying it. It made me think about the upcoming holiday season, which I hope to jump-start next week. My short story “A Zombie Christmas” will be running free for the next couple of Fridays on Kindle. Grab a copy to put you in the holiday mood. I also plan to have that story available elsewhere later on in the year. Okay, here’s a little Christmas music to set the mood. I hope you all had a great Fourth of July – thanks for reading and following.

Review:
“Not often do you run across a zombie story with a message. Don’t give up hope. A lesson to be learned & applied in any circumstances. Well written & entertaining.”
Nice walk, run today. Can’t believe it is July 1st and I can head out for exercise this late in the morning. Weird weather this summer, but I will take it. Okay, who’s looking forward to the fourth?
I honestly have no idea what to name this one, so I was wondering if you could help. Just drop me your title in the comment section and include a link to your blog. That way I can find a way to pay you back for helping me out.
Hard running in late June. I wanted to dedicate this song to anyone out there running in the heat. I know it isn’t running based, but the title really does fit the way I am feeling right now. Never get tired of Dokken.
