Hot muggy morning
Thick like a bowl of fresh soup
Big storms on the way
A warm sunny day
Birds, rabbits, Mother Nature

Nice to get out with my son today. 40 Minute walk/run really helped to get the day started.
Any runners out there who have pushed a jogging stroller? Tough isn’t it.
A thick warm muggy night
Shirt plastered to my body
May heat has arrived

Two nights back to back, love this time of year. Nice walk/run this evening. 40 Minutes when he it was all said and done. 10 minute walk, 10 minute run, 10 minute walk, 10 minute run.
I had this song come on the MP3 player and I changed the lyrics a bit. Instead of back in a New York Groove, I replaced it with back in a Running Groove. Not sure why I had to share that, guess I just wanted to.
So, anybody else enjoying the nice late spring or early summer weather? Good bye winter.
Hint of winter cool
Soft breeze stirring up the air
Trees alive with sound
Hint of small raindrops
Chasing light grey-black storm clouds
Bruised dark red sunset

Not a bad walk/run tonight, kind of tough, kind of easy. Felt good just to get out after several rainy stormy days.
The night reaching out
Feet slip slapping as I move
Daylight starts to dim

Deceiving night tonight. Felt cool inside the house with the windows open, so I thought thin long sleeve, shorts, vest, good to go – wrong! I had to stop about 2 miles in, shed the shirt, and put on the vest. Just got so hot, felt like I was roasting inside my clothes. Hard weather to dress for this time of year. Still managed a good run though. Happy about that.

I tell you what. I consider myself to be a somewhat decent tech guy, not great, but pretty good. I didn’t grow up with computers like kids these days (man I sound old saying that), but I’ve adapted pretty well to them. So, the point, yeah, got to rambling there just a bit. Still juiced from the run. Anyway, I can load my MP3 player like a champ, but when it comes to the IPod Shuffle, egads, totally lost. I checked everything about that IPod today, made sure my music files were on it, then I hit play once I was outside. The song sounded wrong. It was nothing I loaded today, not sure when it was loaded. So I started to flip around and found out that the music on the IPod wasn’t what I had put on there today. Couldn’t believe it. I went on with my run, and listened to what was on there, which turned out to be just what I needed to listen to today. It really helped clear my head. Strange how it works out like that.
Anybody else out there confused about how to load an Ipod or is it just me?
By the way, nice to have some fresh shoes, feeling great on the feet.

Nice to get out this evening and clear the head. Something about good tunes, comfortable shoes, sunset, exercise, and warm weather that really just makes it all better.
How about you? What do you do to let off some steam?
Sneaky chilly breeze
An unexpected cool day
Springtime so fickle

Nice to go run in a new location today, down where my parents live. They were on grandparent duty, so I had the time to get out on my own for a bit. A great day to be outside even with the coolness in the air. Beautiful sunshine, cloudless sky, just a wonderful late April day.
A cool rainy day
Feet splish-splashing on the ground
Getting in some miles

Yeah, it was cold, wet, and nasty out there today, but I had to go. I just had to get the legs moving no matter what the weather was like. It felt good just to get out. Nice way to clear the head. Also, the hot shower afterwards helped a lot. So, what is the worst weather you have run in? Just curious.
A warm Palm Sunday
Jogging stroller hard rolling
Nice time with my son
Dark black clouds hanging
Thick, fat, heavy with spring rain
Running hard today

Good day out there on the old running shoes. I had one of my better timed runs. For the 4 mile walk/run that I usually do, I don’t think, of course, don’t quote me on this, but I don’t think I have been under 50 minutes since I started doing it. I was just over 48 minutes earlier today, which may not seem like much to most folks, but for me that is a turning point. I’ve always been a slow runner. Nice to see the legs maybe churning in my favor. How about you, fellow runners, what kind of times do you shoot for? Do you have a best time, one you are proud of? Just shout it out to me if you do.
By the way, there’s a reason I love Jimmy Buffett’s music so much. I wasn’t sure I was in the mood for it when I started running today, but after a couple of songs I was feeling those mellow vibes all over again. Just something about his tunes that takes me away, and hooks me every time. I have always loved this song below, and I never tire of it. Classic.
Fat rain heavy clouds
Thick with spring’s warm liquid drops

Not a bad walk/run today. Just did a timed run, didn’t count the miles, 30 minutes up and back. Nice to get out in the fresh air. Love this time of year.
By the way, Jason Aldean is another good artist to run along with:
Heaven’s empty cup
Poured out the warm blue filled skies
Easy gentle day

Great run today! Just love, love, love, love, love, love, etc. days like this. Nice and warm not too hot not too cold. My body just seems to respond so much better to it. By the way, Eric Church’s “Chief” album is a great one to run along with. Always have good runs when I listen to it.

A nice evening to run even if it was cold once again. The wind died down so that helped a lot. I am still rocking the shorts though. I think only one time this winter I was forced into pants. I think that run had a wind chill down in the teens or something crazy like that. Hard to get me out of the shorts. I actually have winter shorts and summer shorts – if you can believe that.
Does anyone else out there who runs hate giving up on the shorts? When do you stop wearing them if you do?

Well, here we go again. After braving high temperatures on Saturday I am back to running in the cold not only for today, but Wednesday as well, if I make it out then. Just can’t get my body regulated right when the weather is so unpredictable. At least the walk/run was good – .5 walk, 2 mile run, .5 walk. Not bad at all when you realize I had to make myself go.
As a sidebar. Are there any Walking Dead fans out there? Great season so far. Can’t wait till the explosive final next week. I hope they end this one strong.

So nice to get a beautiful day to get outside. Nice to just go and clear my head. Hope the next run is just as grand. By the way, Happy Spring! Now, Mr. Winter, you can go ahead and take your vacation. I have had enough of you. I’m sure all of you can agree with that.
