Mr. grabby hands
You’re 7 months old today
Big smile, awesome hair
Old toys have returned,
with the familiar playtime
Back from vacation
🙂
Lots of car seat time
A good little traveler,
this Easter weekend
Smooth cup of coffee
Holding my son in my arms
A perfect morning
🙂
Carolina Day 1
Blue skies and no clouds
A warm, bright, and beautiful
Carolina day
Carolina Day 2
Sun filled, light blue sky
Casual white clouds drifting
Lazy hammock day
Carolina Day 3
My shoulder, nap time
Son’s gentle breath in my ear
Secure, safe, and warm
Carolina Day 4
Crib gymnast sleeping
Cup of coffee to relax
Sunlight on my face
Strolling, exploring
A sunny day with my son
Cool breeze through his hair
6 months old today
Half a year has passed so quick
Time is flying by
🙂
Big radiant smile
Beaming like the sun above
Always melts my heart
Creeping, crawling, slithering along
Singing their sunny song
With their clicking, clacking claws
On the ends of their big hairy paws
They slither and shake
Through the darkness they quake
I wrote this earlier today and I honestly don’t know what to think about it. I thought I would post it and see what you, fellow readers, thought about it. I would aim this more towards kids like a Shel Silverstein poem with a drawing to go along with the small poem.
Sunshine permeates
A stroller stroll for my son
Best time in the world
With toes in the sand
Memories breeze through my mind,
of childhood beach trips
🙂
The monitor speaks
Static sounds wake me from dreams
My son is stirring
Wee hours or so it seems
I shuffle, zombie like
Sleep escaping, like a blast
Nursery door creaks open
Night, fading fast
I move to the crib
Peer over its edge
I watch his movement
Just beyond the ledge
His eyes scan mine
We bridge a gap, father to son
He smiles up at me
The morning has begun

A warm sandy beach
The palm trees and sea breezes
Sugar to my soul
•
Sitting with my son
Holding him tight in my lap
Kisses, sugar time
•
I had to post this video.

My shoulder, nap time
Son’s gentle breath in my ear
Secure, safe, and warm
Life, ebbs and flows
Like a river or a stream
Day in – Day out
We live, We dream
It all seems so large
So grand
Day to day
Hand to hand
One day single
Desperate, alone
Without love
Unknown
Then married
To a wife
Life is free
Without strife
Then a son arrives
Like magic he is here
So close
So near
Yes, like a journey
Life ebbs and flows
Day in – Day out
Where it ends no one knows
Midnight is calling
Just outside my window pane
In a star filled night
§
The night marches on
Midnight taps on my shoulder
Need to get some sleep
§
A tough wake up call
Baby is teething early
Midnight got here quick
A father holds his son
Comfort in his daddy’s arms
Precious one
Your eyes tell me what I need to know
Love I see
Happiness
I just want to give you the world
I just want to hand it to you on a silver platter
I just want to let you know it will always be okay
Just stay in my arms
Rock with me in this chair
Fall asleep in peace
Dream in slumber
I’ve got you
Feel safe
Feel warm
Heart to heart
Beat to beat
Nothing greater than this love
