The trees drenched in black
Waiting on the morning sun
Hoping for the warmth

Since we are talking trees.
Here’s one of my favorite RUSH songs.
Enjoy.
Happy Sunday.

Astronomers estimate that the observable universe has more than 100 billion galaxies. Our own Milky Way is home to around 300 billion stars, but it’s not representative of galaxies in general. Source: How many stars are there in the universe? – Sky & Telescope

Naked tree branches
Stripped bare by winter’s harsh grasp
Waiting on the spring
Frigid cold morning
Arctic chill taking over
Freezing out the day

What better song to play than this one today.
R.I.P. Glenn Frey
Soft white snow falling
Cascading down from dark skies
Cold and dreary day

I wrote this Haiku this morning as the snow settled in for a bit. It didn’t stick, gone by noon, but it was beautiful while it lasted. This weather in NC is so crazy. Yesterday I had on shorts and it was in the low sixties while today it was barely out of the thirties with thick heavy flakes of snow for a bit. So, how’s your weather wherever you are? How about something to take our mind off of all this cold stuff?
Sky alive with fire
Morning drenched in crimson red
Splattered on the clouds

I have written a bunch of Haiku with the title Sky Fire.
The chain of them starts here with number 10 (in case you want to read them):
Feline perched up high
Cat tree gives her a clear view
Critters in the yard

So, who are you?
Cat or dog person.
Me – cats all the way.
Real morning sunrise
No computer screensaver
Or desktop background
