Hard raindrops falling

Washing out the summer drought

A quick loud cloud burst

The bright morning sun

Burns off the thin wispy clouds

That hinder its rays

Sunlight fills the sky

Floods the day in bright red rays

Night-time slinks away

Rain on the roof top

Showers cascading from the sky

A sigh of relief

Early signs of fall

Or summer’s relentless heat

Leaves filled with color

Undisturbed water

Glassy smooth, gentle and calm

Waiting on the waves

Summer takes a pause

Cool morning greets my hot skin

Autumn almost here

A thick cloudy start

Sunlight cracks the veil of grey

Draped across the sky

Heavy rain shower

Dusty, dry, scorched, and parched land

Cries out in relief

Water reflection

Mirrors nature’s soft beauty

On the lake’s surface

Outside my window
