In the big soft chair
Football on the TV screen
Rooting for my team
¨
You twist, turn, and glide
On toes made up of light steel
That seem so fragile

The wolves are howling
Safely you guide your scared flock
With nerves of hard steel

100 green yards
Cleats, end zones, and bruising hits
Football time again

Love, love, love, this time of year. Fall is around the corner and my favorite sport is starting to fire up. College this weekend and then NFL the next, just a great time to be a fan.
The old man approached
Squeezed into the small white chair
Youthful days returned
…
Sands of time move quick
We are tiny soul holders
Drifting through the days

Jam packed with traffic
Maximum capacity
Can’t see the black top

On our way down to the beach we got into some of the worst traffic I have ever seen. I can’t believe how bad it was. Very, very, stressful, there are just so many cars on the road. I thought I would vent a bit with this Haiku.
I think James Taylor said it best:
Some said he was odd
From his hair to his toe nails
Covered in dark green

What is it like?
To lay your body down.
To spill your blood and life.
Upon the Earthly Ground.
A special thank you to all soldiers and veterans on this day. Your bravery is appreciated.

Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday which occurs every year on the final Monday of May.[1] Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.[2] Formerly known as Decoration Day, it originated after the American Civil War to commemorate the Union and Confederate soldiers who died in the Civil War. By the 20th century, Memorial Day had been extended to honor all Americans who have died while in the military service[3]. It typically marks the start of the summer vacation season, while Labor Day marks its end.
