Cast me from the shore
I skip across the water
My ultimate dream

Record low today
Summer knocked, no one answered
Why so cold in May?
Record low for this morning is 43 degrees in Raleigh, N.C. We made it down to 42. This is so unbelievable for Memorial Day weekend. Weird weather.
Dark and stormy skies,
are painted across the day
3 miles – sun erupts
It all passed away
Leaving a radio corpse,
and lifeless music
Paul Simon inspired this Haiku so here’s something by him.
My brain feels so flat
I am a little burnt out
Taking a small break

Tanked 1
Nothing in the tank
It is just empty and dry
I need some new juice
Tanked 2
Running on empty
Nothing to write for this blog
Juices flowing slow
Tanked 3
Baby sick this week
My mind turned down to zero
Creative flat line

I think I might take a few days away from this blog. Just need to get the creative juices flowing again. I’m also trying to finish the rewrite to my next novel so I need to buckle down. If you don’t see a post or two for a few days, just know, I will be back – hopefully? Thanks again for following.
Hard Rock spectacle
Fire spewing and spitting blood
A legion of fans
Part 1
A classic live show
With dynamic stage effects
Where’s the Hall of Fame?
What’s this, cool again?
Summer is ever so close
Winter’s grasp lingers
Cold morning again and a cool day as well. I really can’t believe this is May already. Where is the Spring? Summer is getting close and we still really haven’t had a solid Spring. Winter really is tough to kick this year.
A blessing from God
True love within her kind heart
Soul full of joy

I wrote this poem a while back and posted it to this blog last year around this time. I thought I would re-post it in honor of this special day.
How to describe a mom,
well,
it may be too hard to do,
without leaving out,
too many things,
that are true.
For a mom is a blessing,
a true gift from God,
her patience and virtue,
is something,
you could never prod?
Familiar sights, sounds
Waiting to welcome you back
Comfort wrapped in love

What is it about coming back home after a day, a week, maybe longer, away? There is just so much joy in walking through that door and seeing all you love and cherish, from your adoring spouse, to your favorite chair. Here’s your chance to be a part of this blog. Feel like a Haiku then please drop me one in the comments below concerning home. I would love to hear how you feel about the place you live in.
