Dark ashy-grey clouds
Rain shower explodes outside
Torrential downpour
Cold songbird singing
A cheerful tune in winter
Hoping for the spring

Dead brown leaves dancing
One by one and two by two
Together they fly
+
Trees swaying – shaking
Branches blown by the stiff breeze
Racing through the limbs
Rosy morning light
Steamy coffee in the mug
I start to wake up

Always enjoyed this one. Good song to listen to as you drink a cup. So, sit back, sip from your favorite mug, and relax this Saturday morning.
So dark this morning
Storms crept slowly in last night
Bringing rain showers
Soft thunder rumbling
Grey skies turning dark and black
Storms are rolling in
Summer and Winter
Like an old married couple
Bickering, fighting

They say it is going to be in the low seventies today, folks, this is January and that is absurd. On top of that, they are also calling for strong storms. It says winter on the calendar, but it sure feels like spring.

Didn’t call you home
You’ll winter here
Until Spring returns

I really don’t know if this poem is any good or not, probably not, but I kept seeing Robins in the yard and I just thought I would write a little something about them. I can’t believe that I am seeing them all ready. I thought this was a sure sign of Spring. I guess this new weather pattern has them confused as well. Anyway, hope you had a great New Year celebration and that you have a wonderful 2015.
Just a rainy day
Clouds choking out the sunshine
Washing out the bright

This song came on Pandora this morning. It got me thinking about the massive winter storms that roll across the great lakes and the oceans. It inspired this Haiku.
