Soft rosy pink clouds
Blushing as the day fades out
In a bright red light
Soft rosy pink clouds
Blushing as the day fades out
In a bright red light
Storm rolls through the black
Electric blue lights the night
Thick thunder rumbles
Salt and pepper clouds
The sun’s rays refuse to shine
The day starts out grey
Quiet solitude
Morning rests in soft slumber
The day gently wakes

Thick clouds, gray and black
Hanging across the sunlight
Overcast again
Shadows of night break
The sun’s warm rays like daggers
Pierce the flesh of dark
Soggy splash filled day
Rain drops carpet bomb the deck
Liquid explosions
Soft night-time rain drops
Tap dance against my window
Sleep will arrive soon
The day is waking
Stretching its long sunny arms
Across a blue sky
A satin black veil
Hangs over the face of day
The sun mourns again
Clouds racing – chasing
Across the deep daylight blue
Hint of storm – fading
Record low today
Summer knocked, no one answered
Why so cold in May?
Record low for this morning is 43 degrees in Raleigh, N.C. We made it down to 42. This is so unbelievable for Memorial Day weekend. Weird weather.
Dark and stormy skies,
are painted across the day
3 miles – sun erupts
Day-light choking,
strangled out by darkening clouds.
Severe storm warning,
thunder sounds.
A barren land,
left in your wake.
Lives and homes destroyed,
by the path that you take.
I thought I was taking a small break, but this tornado today has really bothered me so I had to write something about it. Just seeing all the damage and destruction and hearing about all the lives lost has really put me at a loss. My heart and my prayers go out to them and not only them, but all of those who have faced something like this.
